Concrete Removal & Demolition in Caledon

We break out and haul away old driveways, patios, walkways, steps and slabs across Caledon, from subdivision driveways in Bolton to long approach driveways and farm or shop pads on the concession roads. What changes the job here is distance and ground: a long rural run crosses sandy moraine in one stretch and wet clay in another. Union-certified crews do the work. Quotes are free and written, with breakout, hauling, disposal and grading itemized.

Caledon is a big, spread-out town in Peel Region, and most of it is country. Bolton and the village cores at Caledon East, Inglewood, Alton and Cheltenham look like town work. The farms, hobby farms and estate lots between them do not. Removal follows that split: a single walkway or front steps in a village, or a long gravel-edged driveway, a worn farm pad or a detached garage slab on a rural lot.

The method is the one on our concrete removal and demolition page: saw cuts where old concrete meets concrete that stays, mesh and rebar cut free, and the old concrete hauled to a recycler. This page covers what Caledon's ground and Caledon's properties change about that job. For everything else we do in town, see our Caledon page.

Long rural driveways: check the whole run

A long approach off a concession road moves a lot more concrete than a town driveway, so there is more to break, load and haul. The ground also changes along the line. Part of Caledon sits on the Oak Ridges Moraine, a deep mix of sand and gravel that drains fast. Lower ground near the creeks and river flats is heavy clay that holds water.

With the old concrete out, we look at the base along the run and set what goes back to the worst ground on the line, not the best.

Farm and shop pads: what they carried, and what comes next

On a barn, shop or detached garage pad, thickness and reinforcement (mesh and rebar) are what set the breakout work, and we see both at the site visit.

If a new pad is going in, doing the tear-out and the pour with one crew means the base is rebuilt while the ground is open, and you pay for one trip, not two. See concrete slabs and garage pads for what goes back in. Where the old pad is simply coming out, we grade the space and leave the yard usable.

Older village homes and farmhouses

In the older village cores, front steps and walks are common removal jobs. Where a slab sloped toward an older foundation, we tell you, and we can look at basement waterproofing in Caledon while the ground beside the wall is open.

Caledon is a long drive north from our home routes, so removal here books onto planned trips into Peel and the GTA with real dates, not a same-week promise. Small jobs are welcome. We reply to every request within one business day.

Questions

Straight answers

We have a long old driveway off a Caledon concession road. Can you take it out?

Yes. A long run is a bigger job to plan and book, because there is more concrete to break and haul, and the ground can change along the line. We walk the whole run at the site visit, then write the breakout, hauling, disposal and grading into the quote.

Can you remove a thick farm or shop pad?

Yes. Thickness and reinforcement set the breakout work, and the mesh and rebar are cut free. We see both at the site visit, and the written quote reflects them.

Can you take out concrete behind a narrow gate?

Yes. Our smallest machines clear about a 36 inch gate. Where there is no machine access, we break the concrete by hand and carry it out, which takes longer. We put that in the written quote after the site visit.

What happens to the old concrete?

Clean concrete goes to a recycler and comes back as road base. The mesh and rebar are cut free and recycled separately.

How much does concrete removal cost in Caledon?

The thickness of the concrete, how much mesh and rebar is in it, the length of a rural run and how a machine reaches it set most of the cost. A flat rate posted online would only mislead you. The site visit and the written quote are free, and the number on the written quote is the number on the invoice unless you change the job.
