On sandier ground, we contain the edges and steer downspouts away from the slab so water does not cut under it. Shop floors and equipment pads on Woolwich farms
A working farm or acreage needs flatwork a town lot never does: a shop floor rated to take a truck, an equipment or implement pad, or a base for an outbuilding. We build those on a compacted base with the thickness and reinforcing the load calls for. Where a vehicle or machine will stand on the slab, it gets rebar, not mesh.

On a town lot, a detached garage floor wants anchor bolts set in the wet concrete and a gentle slope toward the door so snowmelt off the car drains out. Most detached garages need a permit, and the fee and rules vary by municipality. We flag it at the quote, and your municipal building department is the authority.
