Stamped & Decorative Concrete in Delhi, Ontario

We pour stamped and decorative concrete in Delhi: patios, front walks and driveway borders in slate, flagstone and cobblestone patterns. Delhi's deep sand drains well but does not stay put, so the base under a stamped slab matters more than the pattern. Union-certified crews do the colour and stamping, the labour carries a lifetime warranty, and the written quote is free.

Delhi is a town of long-held houses from the tobacco decades, brick and frame homes built from the forties through the seventies.

The ground is the main difference from most places we pour. Delhi sits on some of the deepest sand in Norfolk County. Sand is carried off grain by grain wherever a downspout, a swale or a slab edge concentrates flow.

The whole method, the pattern families, the two-layer colour, the mix and where the joints get cut, is on our stamped and decorative concrete page. This page stays on what stamping a Delhi property asks of the job. The quote is free and written, and the number on it is the number on the invoice unless you change the job.

Where stamped concrete fits in Delhi

The houses set the rules. Ashlar slate and random flagstone sit quietly next to tobacco-era brick and frame homes, while a busy cobblestone can overpower a small front. We bring manufacturer charts to the site visit, pull the base colour from your brick or trim, and talk you out of a pattern that fights the house.

A stamped border around a plain broom-finish field gives you most of the look for a fraction of the upgrade, which is why we often suggest it for a walk, a patio or a driveway edge.

Delhi sand and the base under a stamped slab

Native sand drains well, but it does not stay where you put it. A stamped slab needs a base that is both drained and immobile, so we put compacted granular base over the sand, contain the edges so runoff cannot mine out the perimeter, and pour air-entrained concrete made to take freeze-thaw and road salt.

Control joints are cut along the grout lines of the pattern, so shrinkage opens inside a seam your eye already reads as part of the stone. If a crack traces back to our workmanship, the lifetime warranty on labour brings us back to it. Hairline cosmetic cracks and normal wear are not covered, and the written quote spells that out.

Sealer and anti-slip

The colour on stamped concrete lasts only as long as the sealer over it. Plan on a fresh coat every two to three years. We use an acrylic sealer with an anti-slip additive, and we put the resealing schedule in writing.

Questions

Straight answers

Do you still need a gravel base under stamped concrete on Delhi's sand?

Yes, every time. Sand drains well but it moves. Compacted granular base over the sand gives the slab somewhere stable to land, and edge containment keeps runoff from washing the perimeter out.

What stamped pattern suits an older brick home in Delhi?

The quieter cut-stone looks usually sit best. Ashlar slate and random flagstone read as stone beside older brick without competing with it, while a busy cobblestone can overpower a small front walk. We pull the base colour from your brick or trim and often go a shade quieter than the sample card.

How much does stamped concrete cost in Delhi?

It is priced as an upgrade over a standard broom-finish slab. How much it adds depends on the pattern, the number of colours, the hand-detailing the layout needs, the state of the base and whether an old slab has to come out first. You get one written quote after a free site visit, and the number on it is the number on the invoice unless you change the job.

Will you come out to Delhi for a small stamped job?

Yes. Delhi is on our scheduled western Norfolk route with Courtland and Langton, so a single walk or a small patio is worth the visit. It gets a written quote and the same lifetime warranty on labour as a larger job.
