Foundation Repair in Fort Erie
We repair foundation cracks and leaks across Fort Erie, from railway-era Bridgeburg walls to cottages at Crystal Beach and rural lots at Stevensville. A leaking crack in a poured wall usually takes polyurethane injection from inside. A dry crack that needs its strength back takes epoxy. A block wall that bows takes carbon fibre straps and a fix for the water pushing on it. Quotes are free and in writing, and the labour carries a lifetime warranty.

Fort Erie is a string of communities, not one grid, and each one has its own kind of foundation. Bridgeburg, the old railway town, has brick homes and foundations that go back to the railway-bridge era. Crystal Beach and Ridgeway run from century cottages near the shore to newer builds. Out past Garrison Road, Stevensville and the rural concessions have larger country lots.
The ground changes the repair as much as the age of the wall. Near the beaches the soil is sandier and drains quickly. Inland, the soil is shallow over a clay subsoil, and clay holds water against a foundation. So the same crack can have a different cause in each part of town, and the first job is to read the wall you have.
The full method, epoxy and polyurethane injection and carbon fibre, is on our foundation repair page. This page is about how those repairs fit Fort Erie walls. Send the form for a free written quote. We reply within one business day.
Railway-era Bridgeburg walls on clay
Many Bridgeburg foundations date to the railway era and sit on the clay subsoil. After the spring melt or a long rain, that clay stays wet and presses water at every crack, tie hole and joint.
On a poured wall, a crack that leaks is sealed with polyurethane injection from the inside face through to the soil side. A dry crack that only needs its strength back is bonded with epoxy. On a block wall, clay pressure can show as a stair-step crack along the mortar joints, or a wall that starts to bow inward. That is soil pressure, and it goes on the serious list. When an old wall leaks in many places instead of one crack, injecting one spot will not keep the basement dry, and the answer is basement waterproofing in Fort Erie.
Sand at the shore, clay inland
On the sandier shore lots near Crystal Beach and Bay Beach, water drains down and away more quickly. Inland, water stays in the clay for a long time and presses on the wall from the side. A wet floor or a crack in a cottage at the shore is not always the same problem as one in a Bridgeburg basement.
We look outside the wall as well as at the crack. The Town of Fort Erie advises grading that slopes away from the walls for at least two metres and downspouts that empty at least two metres from the foundation. A crack fix that leaves water pooled beside the house will not last, so the written quote names the crack, its cause and the fix.
Which cracks need attention
We measure width, direction, movement and offset at the visit. A crack under 1/8 in. is usually shrinkage. A crack wider than 1/4 in., one that grows each year, a horizontal crack, or one where one face sits higher than the other needs structural attention.
Fort Erie is the far end of the Niagara peninsula for us, so a visit here books into our regular Niagara schedule through the pouring season, not as a same-week call. Read about our other concrete work in Fort Erie.
Straight answers
Who repairs foundation cracks in Fort Erie?
We do, across the whole town, from Bridgeburg and Ridgeway to Crystal Beach and Stevensville. Our union-certified crews inject leaking cracks with polyurethane, bond dry cracks with epoxy, and reinforce bowing block walls with carbon fibre. The quote is free and in writing, and the labour carries a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the home.
Our older Bridgeburg basement has a crack that leaks every spring. Is that fixable?
Usually, yes. Many Bridgeburg foundations date to the railway era and sit on clay subsoil that holds melt and rain against the wall. A single leaking crack is injected from inside. If water comes through in many places, that is a waterproofing job, not a crack job, and we tell you which one you have before you spend anything.
Is a crack in a Crystal Beach cottage the same as one inland?
Not always. The shore ground is sandier and drains more quickly, while inland the clay subsoil holds water against the wall. We find where the water gets in and how the wall is built, then tell you what fixes it.
How much does foundation repair cost in Fort Erie?
We do not publish a price, because the jobs are so different. The free written quote gives you the real number, and that number holds unless you change the job.
Water is coming through a crack right now. What should I do?
From October to March, send the form and check the box that says water is coming in. Urgent water problems are seen first. Meanwhile, move valuables off the floor and, if it is safe, point a downspout away from the wall. We reply to every request within one business day.
